With everything that is happening just now, no matter how rubbish I feel I am going to keep positive.

In my head I had something way more intelligent sounding but it just didn't come out that way.

Everything is going to be good.

Gutted.

Just opened up my dissertation at a random page and I see an absolutely glaring mistake.

BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER! I JUST GOT A 2:1!!!!

Weddings. [21 Jan 2008|04:11pm]
I am so hacked off thinking about my boyfriend's sister's wedding. It is a big big farce. You don't put wiis and xboxs or tvs or mp3 players or really really really expensive cutlery or amazingly expensive sheets and pillows ON A WEDDING LIST AND EXPECT PEOPLE TO BUY THEM FOR YOU (only the wiis, xboxs and the tv are left along with a lot of other shit). If they fully expect Russell and I to fork out for something like that then they've got another thing coming.

Part of the reason why they are getting married to get more money from the student loans company, Russell's parents regard the wedding as getting rid of a financial burden and they are paying for the wedding. THAT IS STRANGE. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT SUGGESTED THEY GET MARRIED. That is messed up.

IT IS MAKING A FARCE OUT OF MARRIAGE, A FARCE OUT OF THE STUDENTS LOAN PEOPLE AND A FARCE OUT EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO BUYS OFF THAT LIST.

And so add insult onto injury, they invited Russell and partner (instead of Russell and Laura - WE'VE BEEN TOGETHER LONGER THAN THE PEOPLE GETTING MARRIED) It hurt. And I sent an acceptance card (after getting my brains together and beginning to laugh about everything rather than get really upset) and wrote really nice stuff in it and all Russell got back today was that Russell should have wrote the card instead of me.

It's just one thing after another and I am actually really pissed off.

It think it hurts even more because Russell and I are in different countries while they lord about having a flat, getting married and get to be together all while someone else pays for it. Maybe this reaction I'm having to the wedding is just jealousy.

And another thing.....getting married on valentines day?

Russell's been posted to Northern Ireland which is always fun. I'll probably be heading out there in 2009... I never thought I would ever live there but it's on the cards.

God I'm feeling pretty bummed. Yesterday was a crappy day, stayed later because Crombie was actually useful for once...my bike broke...got skushed by some person in a car by their de-icer (oh yeah I know you can go faster than me but I'm going at this speed FOR FREE). Then Russell texted me, he's been detached to Cyprus...so that's the first one! It's a happening. Great. I hope my friends will have me back and book some time with Lor, the good thing is at that point I won't be working 21 days in a row either paid or unpaid so will be less tired than I am now.

I'm actually feeling a bit lonely. And a bit sad. And a bit fat. And a bit useless to be honest, I have not gone to uni to learn what I have to sweep, clean or sew up fishing nets. I feel that even if I did see friends just now I would be like a big....snail...really boring and a bit slow. I don't have anything to look forward to either..

Stupid summer. I hate being an adult.

Okay, I think my rant is over.

Whee. [02 Jun 2007|09:19pm]
London was so good. Goodness knows how people cope with the pace of it all! But I'm back safe and sound.

I also have a new baby in my life. A 30gb black video iPod. He's from Harrods and he's called Piccadilly Corn in honour of noisy popcorn.

Songs. [26 Apr 2007|10:26am]
[ mood | jubilant ]

It's wierd.

Aqualung's song Cinderella is exactly how I feel right now. One minute it's really upbeat then it's quiet and calm.

It also sounds really complex. A bit like me just now.

Am I making too much of this or am I actually speaking some sense? I love typing today so I'm gonna keep type type typing!

I liked it when Maroon 5 were dirty looking indie boys, now they look like Maximo Park or Franz Ferdinand in their suits.

Yesterday was a bit of a crappy day to say the least. However, I finally got my dissertation topic sorted...and the girl that I've never really got along with...or understood got my first choice. But now thinking about it it's probably for the best she got that topic - it looks like fun and the one I ended up with is a lot more credible and important sounding. Do you want to hear the title...?

Sustainable management of biodiversity on Stirling University campus.

Basically, are we doing enough for the conservation of biodiversity on campus? I was quite overjoyed that I got this topic. I was worried I might have to do something with bees.
